It’s finally come! #Stronghold has arrived and it looks like the anticipation was not in vain… it looks AWESOME!
We were excited to help host the Dallas kickoff event with Texas Instrument’s support, and be able to hang out with 24 other awesome Dallas teams for the day.
Peter Balyta, President of TI Ed. Tech talking to us about his experience as a high school math teacher, and how it led to his current career.
We had great support from 1296, 1745, 2848, 3005, 5417, and 5431 mentors, who gave presentations on kickoff strategies, bumpers, rookie strategies, Java/Labview programming, pneumatics, mechanical design, and robot quick build.
The rest of the day was spent reading the rules… then reading the rules… then finally! reading the rules. We’re looking forward to our meetings next week to start peeling back the layers of this complex game, and developing a team strategy, robot strategy, and our first prototypes. We’re also excited that FRC1860 will be back in town this year for Dallas Week 4 and staying in touch with friends this build season.
